Tournament Details

Represent your local game store at this casual Magic: The Gathering tournament uses the Jumpstart format. When you arrive, you’ll receive 2 Avatar: The Last Airbender-themed Jumpstart packs from Wolf Den Games. Shuffle them together, and you’re ready to play. Jumpstart is designed to be quick, approachable, and a ton of fun.

Players will represent a local game store from their area. The winning store with the highest combined score of their top three players, will take home the Cider Cup trophy and earn bragging rights as the first annual champion.

  • Win a Trophy! The trophy will travel to the winning store and be up for grabs again in 2027 at the Second Annual Cider Cup Tournament.

Don’t have a store to play for? No worries – you can still join the fun as a free agent!

Important – Late Arrival Policy

Players who arrive after 3:00 PM will not be eligible to play for the Cider Cup. We’ll still have casual play and giveaways, but only on-time participants can compete for store glory and the trophy. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early.

Black Lotus is a mythic rare, and you just found it.

This cider started with two simple words: tart cherry. But we couldn't leave it there. So we blended a full-bodied Winesap cider base with a house-made tart cherry wine, creating something deeper—a drink with a dark, ruby color that's impossible to ignore.

Breathe it in. There's a sharp burst of cherry, but also something unexpected—a fresh, almost candy-like brightness you might call papaya. The first sip is a perfect contradiction: dry and sweet at the same time, with a tartness that lingers just long enough.

It's an ideal companion for pasta, paella, sushi, or strong cheeses. It also works beautifully with a loaf of fantastic bread. And when you're ready for something sweeter, it's a dessert all on its own.

This hard cider will be available in both bottles and pours in The Taproom.

Tumbling Creek Cider’s Taproom is located in The Abingdon Commons. Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks are available, along with our regular array of hard ciders. There are multiple restaurants within The Commons and you’re welcome to bring food into The Taproom.
